CALENDAR DETAIL:

November 28 – Wine Tasting

The best dressed SMCer’s step-daughter owns a wine store in Grafton called Vino 100.  She came this evening (yes, past tense, sorry if you missed it) and provided many samples of the great wine available at her store.   Stephanie did a great job.  If you’re in Grafton, stop in the store, say “hey,” and maybe buy a bottle or two.

December 5 – David Reber

Are ya sort of a history/technology/photography kinda guy?  Tonight we’re going to learn the history of the 107 year old Kodak Brownie camera.  These cameras first sold for $1.00 and if I understand correctly, Gene Albert was one of the first owners.  David should be able to confirm this.  Come hear it for yourself.

December 12 – SMC Christmas Party

The tree has arrived at Hubbard Park Lodge and we are already gearing up for this fine event.  Invitations will be sent out soon.  Watch you mailbox and please return your reservation as soon as possible.

December 19 & 26 & January 2 – no meeting these weeks

January 9 – brewery tour

We do not yet know which of the fine Milwaukee breweries we will visit, but we’ll keep you posted.

GRANTS GRANTED:

There was only a single grant request to discuss at the last board meeting and it was tabled pending receipt of additional information.  If you are aware of any Shorewood groups that may need some help in raising some money, please direct them to the Grant’s Chair, Tim Schoewe.

NOTICES:

Have you got a hearing aid that uses number 13 batteries?  If so, contact Gene Albert who has stumbled upon a cache of these little gems.

I (Jeff Hanewall) am looking for a small industrial building for my shop.  Ideally, I’m looking for something off of Capitol Drive in the RiverWorks area.  If you happen to know of a place or a person I could contact, please let me know.

And finally, in case the name escapes you, the “best dressed SMCer” mentioned above is of course Mr. Joe “Do you think I’m Irish?” Hughes.

Actually, the real “finally” is, if we miss you at the Holiday Party, the Board wishes you all a safe and wonderful holiday season.
